Hi, (Not sure if this is the right forum. It said to ask a question about the piano so hopefully this is relevant) On the sheet music, what does the A above a note mean? ie: Schumann op 124 no 4 12th measure in, on my version it has A above the Bflat. I tried searching but A's such a popular word it returns other results. Thanks for your help!

Agreed, but an odd place to put it. I'm more used to them being immediately above the note in question, not all the way above the staff.
You see all kinds of "different" things on sheet music...
